During high-intensity and/or long-term sports, the body is subjected to both muscular stress and energy expenditure. As a consequence, proportionally to the intensity, duration and physical form, a certain muscular damage is produced due to the mechanical repetition of the muscular contraction and vibrations of the tissue. On the other hand, the energy demand causes a decrease in glycogen stores, which forces the use of other energy sources, increasing muscle breakdown.

This muscle damage has a common basis: inflammation mediated by molecules called proinflammatory cytokines and the increase in oxidizing substances that damage the muscle fiber. All this contributes to the decrease in sports performance.

In the different doctoral theses and studies published on Polypodium leucotomos (EXPLY 37®) variety Phlebodium, it is observed how this atomized extract plays a modulating role on proinflammatory cytokines and oxidative activity.

• This fact contributes to myocellular protection (muscle cells).

• The same modulating effect is observed on the concentration of hydroperoxides.

• As a consequence of the reduction in muscle catabolism (decrease in CPK and cortisol (p<0.05), an increase in strength was observed.

This food supplement is perfect to take in endurance sports, or in high-intensity interval exercises, as it provides energy while hydrating. Its ratio of glucose: fructose 2:1 facilitates the assimilation of higher amounts of carbohydrates. All you have to do is mix a dose with water and take it in small gulps throughout the exercise.

HOW TO USE

1 stick at breakfast and/or dinner dissolved in 150 ml of water.

• In periods of intense training and/or competitions, take 1 sachet before breakfast and dinner during the 4, 6 or 8 weeks that the period lasts.

• In 1-day competitions, one or two days before and one or two days after, take 1 sachet at the start of breakfast and 1 at the start of dinner. On the day of the competition, take 1 sachet before breakfast, 1 during the test or immediately after and 1 before dinner.

• Maintenance, take 1 sachet at the start of breakfast or at the start of dinner.

Content per daily dose: Biotyped and chemotyped extract of Polypodium leucotomos (EXPLY 37®) with a standardized content of 400-800 mg daily.
