The designer André Courrèges began his professional career in Paris in 1945 where he attended haute couture classes at the Ecole Supérieure du Vêtement. Five years later, his great skill in the world of fashion made him the personal assistant of Cristóbal Balenciaga, whom he has always considered his great instructor and with whom he worked for more than ten years. It was in the sixties when Courrèges decided to create his own haute couture brand, revolutionizing the world of fashion with his avant-garde and unconventional style for the time. In 1972 he created his first perfume which took the name "Empreinte" (La Huella), which was the first of a great line of signature fragrances. Currently, the Courreges perfume firm has become part of the large group of perfumes Lorience Paris.
