The main thing is that when we go to store our cane it is not wet, so it will be necessary to let them dry first or dry them ourselves. To dry some folding poles, we must open them to their maximum length, and dry each one of the bars with a dry cloth. Next, we only have to bend the rod and dry the connection sleeves or pins well with a cloth.

Once dry, store them in a dry environment. If they are folding sticks, store them folded.

Its contact with dirt, dust or other debris that may enter the stick should be avoided, since this could alter the function of the assembly or disassembly of the sticks, causing damage to each of the segments of the stick.
