The LEA personal care brand, founded in 1823 in Álava, was initially called Lascaray SA in honor of Juan Bernardo Lascaray. Originally it was dedicated to making tallow candles in a small shop in the city. In 1855, Casimiro Lascaray, the eldest son, refounded the company as LEA -La Estrella Alavesa- and began to manufacture soap and detergents. Little by little it evolved until shaving products were introduced in the 1920s. Since the 1990s, a wide range of personal hygiene products have been marketed, such as gels, soaps, deodorants aimed at men, women and children. However, its international benchmark continues to be the shaving line, which still opts for the classic -and also for the modern, of course- with very high-quality products that provide a perfect finish.
