Armand Hammer was an American billionaire who in the 1920s collected the prestigious Faberge Eggs. Years later his friend, Samuel Rubin, who had a soap and olive oil company in Spain, had to close the company because of the Spanish Civil War. Hammer then suggested that she register a new perfume and bathroom company under the name Fabergé. After the Second World War, a time of expensive litigation and sale of the company, in 1971 the Fabergé brand was established under the direction of George Barrie, who launched numerous products that have been and are best sellers, such as the Brut perfume.
