Guy Laroche

The French GUY LAROCHE began his career in the world of fashion in 1949 when he started working for Jean Desses. After a trip to the United States to learn new Prêt-à-Porter tailoring techniques, in 1956 he opened his own workshop at 37 Avenue Roosevelt in Paris. His first collection was very colorful, he used pink, orange, coral, topaz and turquoise as a base. Laroche designed both Haute Couture and Prêt-à-Porter. In 1966 he presented his first Guy Laroche perfume known as Fidji. Later he also released his Drakkar Noir men's perfume.
