Ada Masotti opened a corset-making workshop in Bologna in 1954 under the name of La Perla. In the 70s, after many successes in the world of lingerie, the brand made the leap to swimwear with innovative fabrics and designs inspired by Haute Couture. It is from the late 70s, and after the feminist movement, when La Perla began to design lingerie sets with elastic lace and perfect to wear under a tight dress. In 1986, the first La Perla perfume was launched on the market: La Perla Parfúm. The design of its bottle was inspired by a woman's neckline and its aroma conveys seduction, beauty and elegance, which makes it a unique women's perfume.
