Tea tree oil is obtained from the distillation of the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia tree, which is native to Australia. The aborigines of this country have used it for its numerous properties for hundreds of years.

The essential oil of the tea tree has a triple antiseptic effect: it acts against bacteria, fungi and viruses, in addition, it is bactericidal, fungicidal, antiviral, healing, anti-inflammatory balsamic, deodorant and expectorant.
