This brand was born thanks to a fortuitous fall of its founder. In 1931, while in a thermal center in the southern French town of Vichy, Georges Guerín, who at that time already owned a chain called 'Perfums Grenoville', had to be attended by local doctors and it was when he discovered the benefits of the water that it flowed there. With the help of his doctor, he decided to launch a new range of hygiene products and for specific treatments whose main ingredient was thermal water from the Lucas spring, in the same town. Both founded the 'Societé d'Hygiène Dermatologique de Vichy', where they studied skin types to later launch a complete new range on the market called 'Vichy's Secrets', which for the first time included different formulations for oily skin than for skin dry. In addition, they also ventured with other products such as lipsticks or a deodorant launched in 1946. In the 1960s they merged with the l'Oréal laboratories and from that point their treatments included more elaborate and specialized formulas, in fields as demanded as products that fight against the aging of the skin. Today it is available in almost 60 countries and they continue to continuously innovate and listen to the needs of their consumers.
