Vision Guard Plus from Solgar is a balanced formula of specific and essential nutrients for the care and maintenance of eye health: vitamins C, E and A, Lutein, Niacin, Riboflavin, Copper, Zinc, Selenium and Ginkgo Biloba.

These protect humans against phototoxic damage . Lutein and zeaxanthin are found in the macula of the retina and in the human lens. They play an important role in protecting against age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Zeaxanthin is specifically concentrated in the macula, especially the fovea, and its concentration gradually decreases.

Lutein is distributed throughout the entire retina, being the predominant pigment in the periphery of the macula.
