UC-II® Collagen plus Calcium from Sculpt is a formula that contains the best molecular structure of collagen possible, since it is not hydrolyzed or denatured and is the most stable of all. This type of collagen represents the main structural protein of cartilage, responsible for endurance, traction and joint resistance.
Clinical studies show that 50mg of the patented ingredient UC-II® for 17 weeks contributed to improved joint comfort, flexibility and mobility.
While the rest of the collagens have to be absorbed in the intestine, reach the blood and go to the cartilage, UC-II® collagen has an immunological mechanism of action. It works through a process called oral tolerance, which allows its effectiveness at very low doses, approximately 40 mg/day.
