Among all the existing amino acids, the essential amino acids are those that we must ingest through the diet since our organism is incapable of synthesizing them.

In fact, the essential amino acid content of a protein defines its Biological Value.

A high Biological Value implies a greater presence of AAEE , which is equivalent to saying that this protein "provides us with a greater nutritional benefit".

The amino acids that the metabolism can manufacture are called non-essential amino acids and their presence in the diet is not as important as that of the essential ones.

The Essential Amino Acids are 8:
