ROAD TECHNOLOGIES

Rubber architectures can be Mono-Compound or Bi-Compound.

Bi compound size technology invented by MICHELIN in 1995, it is an association of two families of rubbers in a tread band (for example, MICHELIN Power Endurance, which associates the Grip Compound and the X-Miles Compound).

Abrasion-resistant rubber mix, together with a thicker layer on top, provide greater durability (Range: MICHELIN Power Endurance), this is thanks to x milescompound technology.

The racecompound technology is a mixture of rubbers that, thanks to its low deformation, we obtain low rolling resistance. Coming from technologies derived from MotoGP competition, this mixture also guarantees excellent grip on dry ground (Range: MICHELIN Power Competition).

MTB TECHNOLOGIES

A cover consists of a casing, rubber bands and a sculpture.

The carcass of a tire is made up of more or less thick threads, which provide the tire with robustness, flexibility, performance and lightness at the same time, depending on the ranges. The more numerous the cords, the finer they are and, therefore, the lighter the tire will be. On the contrary, the thicker they are, the more robust it is.

3x150 TPI casing that ensures performance and flexibility without compromising resistance, thanks to the very high-density reinforcement layer. Exclusively for XC competition. Range: MICHELIN Jet XCR.

For its part, long cross shield uses XC. 3x110 TPI casing, which provides lightness and resistance. It incorporates a very high density reinforcement layer. Range : MICHELIN Force XC.

As for trailshield, it is used in All Mountain and Trail. 3 x 60 TPI casing, with a high density reinforcement layer. Ranges: MICHELIN Force AM and Wild AM.

Finally, gravity shield large is used in Enduro. 3x33 or 3x60 TPI casing particularly adapted for Enduro riding. Ranges : MICHELIN Wild Enduro.

CITY TECHNOLOGIES

The tires with E-BIKE marking can be mounted on electric bicycles (45 km/h), it is the technology known as the ebike blue strip logo.

The "Star Tread Design" (a Eurobike Award 2012 technology) is a sculpture present in the StarGrip, which provides greater mobility in the rubber studs, as well as localized overpressure to maximize grip.
