Lipofort has a specific action on the metabolism of fats and is reinforced with ingredients that block the absorption of carbohydrates contained in food.

Fat blockers decrease caloric intake and reduce the formation of fatty tissue. After food intake, glucose from carbohydrates and not immediately used for energy production is stored in the liver and muscle as glycogen. But when glycogen stores are full, excess glucose is turned into fat through the process of lipogenesis.

Reducing the absorption of carbohydrates and contributing to their proper metabolism is an effective way to reduce caloric intake from the diet and reduce the formation of fatty tissue.

Researcher Dennis Jones discovered that extract of bitter orange (Citrus aurantium) contained five adrenergic amines involved in physiological processes in the body related to weight control: synephrine, N-methyltyramine, hordemine, octopamine and tyramine. These amines have a special ability to bind to beta-3 receptors and not to other adrenergic receptors involved in increased blood pressure, insomnia, etc.

By joining these receptors, fats are mobilized, especially in the areas where they accumulate: abdomen, hips and buttocks. 

A clinical study carried out at the hospital in Greenwich, Connecticut, concluded that the combination of citrus aurantium achieved significant weight reduction. From this fact, the role of this xanthan base in overweight was investigated, demonstrating its involvement in the processes of the organism related to lipolysis and thermogenesis.
