Maca ( Lepidium meyenii ) is a plant that grows above 4,000 meters of altitude in the Central Andes of Peru. Its beneficial effects are associated with memory, depression and anxiety, it fights osteoporosis and has an energizing effect. Its anti-aging effect and safety in its consumption are also discussed.
